The ones who still do it rite simply learned to adapt or lurked moar before joining. At the beginning (2006) we always marched right out and did wtf we wanted where we wanted. For larger raids we made use of the old HQs to load clones and for impromptu strategy sessions, then all transfer to the target en masse. Over time we slowly had to adapt to moar precise targeting and being ready to jump to a different place when MODs showed up. Some failfags never learned how to change tactics so they just keep failing.
It actually is kind of a parallel to RL. Centuries ago battles were fought as two armies standing in giant open areas then everyone just runs forward and starts fighting until either somebody retreats, is declared the loser (there were sometimes rules determining this) or one side is all dead lol. Then guerilla warfare came into play, especially with the American Revolution and obviously had an advantage so it eventually took over. Nobody stands in a field with two armies now.
