I don't have a /r/, but I'm attempting to be a DJ and I've played music on Nigra Radio for two hours today. The only thing that got in the way of my signal was a little computer crash. Anyway, I have a lot of rock, punk, metal, and alt. songs from the 80's, 90's, and today and if anyone wants to make a /r/ on something that's in these categories, I'd probably fill the niche. When I DJ online, it's commercial free and there's no radio edits.

There's nothing wrong with commercials promoting our own site, and in fact a bunch of us chuckle over them. Just because yours didn't get accepted, and you don't understand the ones on the air, does NOT mean people dont like them. You're advertising higher taxes to the poor, buddy. That's retarded.

That's just the way you play it. Online radio DJs can do anything with their broadcasting and only have their own guidelines. My guidelines for my broadcasting are "No radio edits, commercial free".
