Dynamites and plastic explosives work in different manner. You have to go to inventory, "use" it and set the timer to explode at certain time.
More you set them, the better. Even if your traps skill is low, you just can set them all up and park yourself next to a important looking person and watch shit go kabloom. |

What kind of range does dynamite explosion have? Does it only hit stuff in adjacent squares?

That's a crafting guide that explains what you need, including for dynamite.
As for specific skills outside of crafting requirements, whatever you like really. We don't have anything organized yet, just random nigras running around. Lockpick is good if you want to "borrow" cars and shit eventually. Unarmed is probably most important of combat skills.

Hexagon, centered around the square, with five squares around it. Which makes this even more juicy, more the merrier and if someone is even slightly idling it could result in some serious lulz.

That works. Actually I was thinking of stuff like the caravan guards near Hub entrance who're all crowded together. 3 or 4 strategically placed dynamite traps could probably take out the entire lot.
