He's also not as popular as you might think, depending on what's being heard overseas. It's more or less evenly split at the moment because until a few days ago it was just primaries so you have Republicans on one side and Democrats on the other. Happens all the time during that stage. Both populations are about equal.
We have 2 months to go and this is where things heat up fast. McCain's still going to have the harder battle compared to Obama. Especially since McCain's VP pick already has drama she's bringing along.

Despite the controversy, Palin seems to have made many republicans... "excited" (I'll leave that to your imaginations). The only reason there is a shitstorm in the media, is because the months and months of light drama that normally happens when a politician becomes famous is happening all during the space of a few weeks.
And if anyone asks you who you are voting for, just tell them you are going to write in Hilary. It makes EVERYONE mad.
